District Lines Shirt Network
Automated first-of-its-kind t-shirt promotional tool to reward brand promoters with free shirts. This system facilitated tasteful advertising through YouTube channels and engaged the creator community without being cheesy.
Not everyone making videos wants to open up a shop and sell t-shirts, but just about everyone everywhere loves free stuff! This was my motivation for building the District Lines Shirt Network.
Here's how it worked: sign up, get free merch, wear it in a video. No cheesy pitch required, just a note in the description as a thank you (and to satisfy the FTC). The entire system was automated - YouTube creators would auth in and our system would grant them free merch based on their channel stats. Once they picked out their free shirt we asked that they would wear it in a video.
- Fully automated rewards system
- Classy product placement, merch that creators actually wanted to wear
- Over 200 videos made
- Over 3 million views generated
