Buffer Festival
Back to Projects & Portfolio Companies
Annual three-day film festival style YouTube event in Toronto. In 2013 Corey Vidal shared with me his vision for an event that paid proper respect to the YouTube community that he helped to build, and which helped grow his career to international recognition.
Buffer Festival is this vision realized in the form of a film festival for short-form YouTube creators. Rather than taking a festival, concert or convention approach the event is a series of smaller shows in theaters throughout Toronto. This approach, with each show hosted by one or more creators, encourages exactly the type of interaction that defined YouTube's secret sauce: community.
